Created by lung cancer survivor Nina, the EmPat Project began as a way to help cancer patients communicate through tough times. Today, Em and Pat are here to support anyone navigating life with illness who might need a little help being heard

The EmPat Project was created by Nina, an artist and lung cancer survivor who learned that sometimes it’s easier to let a friend speak for you.
During long treatment courses, moments of excitement or fear, and days when finding the right words just felt too difficult, Em and Pat were there to help communicate with care, ease, and, of course, empathy.

What began as support for the cancer community has grown to help anyone navigating life with illness feel seen, understood, and heard.
